On September 12, 2024, Jan Bergstrand from Trafikverket announced the launch of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Committee’s eFTI4ALL project in the cozy city of Gothenburg, Sweden.

Cargo Sign has been selected to participate alongside 39 consortium members. Over the next four years, we will pilot the eFTI ecosystem and introduce it to Europe.

eFTI is a new, Europe-wide interoperability service designed to share digital transport documents. It involves numerous stakeholders from B2B, governmental, and legislative sectors. During a friendly conversation, Heiti Mering noted this broad involvement. Europe's need for paperless logistics emerged through discussions at the Digital Transport and Logistics Forum, where experts representing stakeholder interests highlighted the necessity, as Rudy Hemelers explained.

Thus, eFTI is not owned by any single entity but is rather a collective product of multiple stakeholders. With this collaborative mindset, our consortium aims to meet the needs of the B2B, governmental, and legislative sectors in adopting eFTI.
